You are .mp3 The kids love you. You get along with just about everybody except the music industry. You really make yourself heard.
Which File Extension are You?

Now, I don't usually post these. But hey, I got a cool result :)

I was also considering that, while I'm not going so far as to claim that the quiz is in any way meaningful, there were some questions where I could actually see some plausible logic in the answers. For example, one of the possible answers to "You burn your dinner, what do you do?" is "Throw it away and start over". Well, that sounds like a .doc to me :)

I haven't attempted to dissect the results-answers relationship because (a) I might be proven wrong, and it might be as arbitrary and pointless as these things usually are and (b) I can't be arsed.

You are .doc You change from year to year, just to make things tough on your competition. Only your creator really has a handle on you.

If you don't answer any of the questions, instead of getting vicious complaints, and being forced to fill things in, you get:
You are .tmp Your existence is fleeting. Here today, gone tomorrow. Sometimes you stay longer than necessary, and take up space.
Which File Extension are You?

Not sure about that one.

I dunno, from some of your tales of trying to deal with amateurs at work, it might get quite ugly if you let ie :)

I'm impressed at the quiz's range of answers - mostly they seem to have about five possible outcomes, and practically everyone gets the same one or two.

That should have said "if you let it". I don't think IE was particularly relevant :)

I wasn't going to post this, but since it seems to complete the set:

Needless to say, the above is completely untrue.

No, that's good. I'm fed up with quizzes that look at your results, clearly see that no one answer fits, but then crowbar you into one category anyway.

Yes, I was vaguely surprised F5 wasn't in the list.

I don't even know what F12 (which I think was in the list) does :)

Hey, that's a Windows feature.

Honest (http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;130667).

(So now I know what F12 does. Though finding out did involve a small amount of hitting it, crashing said system into the debugger, and running crying to [livejournal.com profile] zandev for help.)

Even better, the website I referenced above uses the word "debuggee" to mean "application attached to the debugger".

Hurray :)

hehehe, it happened on the Win2K we were using in Oxford too (but I'm prepared to believe that setup was...unusual...since it also had hyperthreading support on the desktop version). And, more irritatingly, there was supposed to be a really-useful function on F12 but we just thought that function was broken.

Well, if either Jeanette or I fill out the quiz independantly, it puts each of us down as .ogg. However, I originally filled out the first page, hit 'head over to page 2' and went to do the dishes. Jeanette filled out the second page (not knowing there was a page 1), and our collaboration resulted in

Good grief, turn my back for a minute and it turns into foot fetishists' weekly round here :)

Interesting to see all the boot-icons together. It makes the thread look quite odd. I wonder if we could start a fashion for threads themed by icon :)

(She says, spoiling it with a not-boot icond :)
