Like, 'It's an ill wind that blows nobody any good'
To which my childhood response was 'Duh!
Obviously
it's an ill wind if it's not blowing anybody any good.'
And 'It's a snip at half the price'
Child Me: 'So, you're saying this
would
be a snip, but only if it cost half of what it costs now?'
