I have always thought of the Jubilee line as My Personal Property, because my Dad was working as a consultant for some kind of project on it when I was born (not literally when I was born), and he gave me a sticker of its logo, which for many years was proudly displayed on my bedroom door.
Not that I have any problem with any of the things you have written about it above as a result, apart from perhaps the 'ideas above its station (boom-boom)' bit. Of course it is snazzy, supercilious and generally downright posh. Hoorah!
