The Waterloo and City line: a toddler that sits in the corner and burbles aimlessly. The Northern line indulges it like a father treating his youngest child to a lollipop, then swiftly does its job properly for it while it isn't looking.
The DLR: a teenaged girl in a fluffy sweater who spends much of her time in her room, singing about tall ships and castles and drifting through life minding her own business. When called upon to do something she either does it perfectly, or is exasperatingly late.
The East London line: Hopeful hanger-on of the Jubilee line, Robin to its Batman, Parker to its Lady Penelope. When left alone, mutters darkly about fish traps and poaching wildfowl, then pops out next to the local library with a cheery innocent grin and an "Aw'right, guv'nor?"
