When every day you make me go to hell and back with you
I seem to be pioneering a new branch of science, which I have christened Human Bruise Chromatography.
At present, the roll call stands at:
1. A sort of gone-off green on one forearm, where I had a cannula fitted.
2. A rather tarry black behind my knee, which I think is just general bruising settling at the lowest point (I'm sitting down with my legs up a lot).
3. A frankly improbable highlighter-pen yellow slowly spreading over my shin.
4. A rather half-hearted purple-yellow starting to creep out from behind the various dressings (I have four separate operation sites).
5. A nice pallet of greens, reds and violets across my abdomen, from daily anti-DVT injections. (I think I'm getting better at not leaving huge marks, though!)
It's all very colourful! Need to collect some blues, though.
